We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Project Director with a specialised background in the construction of Data Centres, and/or other civil projects. Are you ready to bring invaluable insights, leadership and strategic direction to the construction team?
The company specialises in data centre infrastructure and is at the forefront of technological innovation. This is a truly international company whose headquarters are in Oslo Norway and the official language is English.
This position is open for one of the most ambitious projects: construction of Europe’s largest data centre in Hamar, Norway.
Functie
– Lead and oversee greenfield construction projects, specifically in the Data Center sector
– Ensuring the project stays within budget and meets predefined timelines
-Reporting to senior management at the headquarters and fulfilling reporting obligations to the end client
– Ensure adherence to Nordics region standards and compliance with industry regulations
-Manage stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and aligning interests to project goals
– Demonstrate inspiring leadership, motivating diverse teams towards successful project completion
– Make strategic and timely decisions, resolving complex problems and adapting to changing project dynamics
– Utilize contractual expertise to manage contractors, coordinate with different disciplines, and ensure project success
– Proactively identify and address project challenges, maintaining a flexible approach to evolving circumstances
– Ensuring the project stays within budget and meets predefined timelines

Functie-eisen
– 10-15 years in construction and 5 years in data centre industry, with a financial and strong commercial background.
– Preferably already working in Scandinavia with good English skills
– Familiar with the standards of the Nordic region
– Excellent stakeholder management skills
– Inspirational leadership skills and ability to motivate and guide people on a greenfield construction project
– Leadership with the ability to make the right decision at the right time
– Ability to solve complex problems
– Ability to build relationships with contractor organisations and motivate them to perform
– General understanding of contract law and claims management
– Managing contractors and coordinating with other disciplines
– Proactive attitude
– Fluent in English; proficiency in Norwegian is a plus
– EU passport or valid Norwegian work permit
– Willingness to travel to and stay in Norway for extended periods of time
